Final AICE submission

Image
I wasn't able to make any final changes due to the corona virus and did not have access to the programs i needed to make some of these changes. So refer to my 3rd quarter submission for more in depth details. If i were to fix anything, i would've fixed some spellings on the cover, added more branding to the bottom of my pages, and fix the photo shop job on my cover. I also would've changed out some of the photos in my two paged article to incorporate more food items but i don't have the programs to change that.

CCR Question # 4 Draft

For this project, I used a Canon Rebel T6 camera to take a few of my pictures. But mostly I utilized my moms Iphone 8 plus. It was easier for me to use her phone because i felt i had more control over what i was doing. The cover and most of the pictures in my two paged article were taken with the Iphone. All the pictures i took for food at home were taken with the camera.  When editing the pictures i used Adobe photo shop to edit out some water on the ground below the feet of my model. I also used publisher and Adobe In Design to create my magazine pages. I found it easier to use publisher for my cover and table of contents, where for the tow paged article it was easier to use In Design to format and create the pages. I learned a lot about these programs while creating this progect and allows me to be able to use them in the future.

CCR Question # 3 Draft

Starting this project, I've only used a professional camera once. Also I have never staged or directed a photo shoot before so that was a new experience. Using the camera was interesting because i received instructions on what settings to use and everything but still wasn't used to how i should be taking pictures. Trying to find a great place for photo shoots were hard. On the cover i wanted a person and not just a food picture, saying that i needed a model and an area that made sense. I used my sister and used Disney World to my advantage. In my earlier versions i took pictures in front of the restaurant i was reviewing but it didn't work out well, so I retook the photos in Epcot At Disney World Florida. In her hand we had an iced latte to bring some aspect of "food" and "Italy" into the cover. Moving on to the table of contents picture. I had to create the meal used. I had some help from my mom with staging the food, cup of "wine" and the pl...

CCR Question #2 Draft

"How will your product engage with audiences" "How will it be distributed as a real media text" The magazines i researched focused a lot on certain types of food. Like the issue was based around one item or one culture.  Also majority of the magazines i researched, had other forms of  media for their brands. Bon appetit magazine also has a you tube channel to share content and information. Food network magazine has a whole tv network but also utilizes a website to help market and sell their magazine. With my magazine being  local based, I had the idea of creating a billboard on a main road in Sarasota, where i could spread publicity easier.   Basically for my magazine i would like to create an Instagram and other forms of media to lure/engage people in. Also by using a website and social media, i can gain different age ranges. Younger  generations use social media to get information, so Instagram would be very beneficia...

CCR Question #1 Draft

Use of conventions: Fonts/colors: Looking at the fonts I kept them clean and simple. With the title, my group wanted to make it a little different and create our branding. So we chose two different fonts, one cursive and one "standard". By doing this we can create some interest from people before they even open the magazine. The cursive one turned into our branding font for the bottom of the pages in our magazine. The text color throughout my magazine is just black and white. I wanted to keep it simple and allow the colors from the pictures take over and standout more to create a better meaning. Photographs : The photographs i used are normal to the standard food magazine. My cover picture features my sister holding an iced coffee. Majority of food magazines that i looked at and researched, had food being the main focal point on the cover. By featuring a person on my cover I'm hoping to invoke more people to read it. It creates a more personal feel. I didn't just w...
